    The role
    We’re looking for someone to join our NEW and exciting Housing Support service based in North Staffordshire. It aims to support local people who are at risk of losing their home due to anti-social behaviour linked to mental health support needs. Your job will be driving to customers in their homes or communities to support them, prevent eviction and help them thrive in their home and community again.

    Job requirements

    • Talk to customers on a one-to-one basis to identify their support needs.
    • Create and agree support plans with the customer considering their needs and priorities.
    • Complete a verbal risk assessment and plan with customers.
    • Achieve support outcomes agreed in the plan.
    • Provide case studies to demonstrate your personal and service impact.

    What we’re looking for

    • A driving licence with access to your own vehicle suitable for business use.
    • All training will be provided but you’ll need to be genuine, honest and empathetic with life experience that allows you to show compassion instead of judgment.
    • A qualification in housing or social care would be desirable, but not essential.
    • Someone who has previously delivered housing related support or experience of supporting people at risk of losing their home, although not essential.
    • Awareness of support services in the area and knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation would also be an advantage.
    • Good ICT skills.
    • A great communicator who can develop honest and genuine connections.
    • Great time management and someone who is well organised.
    • Someone with confidence and resilience who can use their own initiative to work independently, and problem solve.
    • An enhanced DBS check.
