  • Handyperson Team Leader

    We’re looking for a Team Leader to come and manage our multi-skilled Handyperson Team, helping them to carry out repairs, improvements and other services in customer’s homes.

    Job requirements

    • Lead, manage, support and develop the team to work effectively.
    • Explore growth opportunities for the team and service.
    • Monitor the service’s performance against targets.
    • Work with customers to provide quotes.
    • Work with Revival’s Co-ordinators and other team members to plan works.
    • Order and manage material stocks.
    • Carry out repairs and maintenance and other duties required as part of the Handyperson Service.
    • Doing all this while putting customers at the heart of everything you do and making sure they feel their best as you complete a job in their home.

    What we’re looking for

    • A relevant qualification to the role but a trade qualification would be an advantage.
    • Experience in managing and leading people.
    • Experience of working in a similar role with older, disabled or vulnerable people would be an advantage.
    • Experience of manual handling safely.
    • Understands what great customer service is.
    • Knowledgeable in property and maintenance.
    • Has practical skills in minor repairs, plumbing and joinery.
    • Can safely use power tools.
    • Is confident resilient and able to think on your feet to problem solve.
    • Able to use own initiative to work independently.
    • Someone who is proud of their work.
    • A full UK driving licence able to drive a company van during work hours.

    We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our Independent Living Service, working with customers to make sure they are safe and well in their homes by providing practical and emotional support as well as helping people back on their feet after a fall.

    Job requirements

    • Provide practical support to customers by helping them to manage their finances, help with benefit claims, look at their housing options, assist with blue badge applications, arrange assisted bin collections and more.
    • Signpost customers to other organisations and agencies for additional support to make sure they have everything they need to live a long happy life at home.
    • Help customers complete application forms for community alarms to help them back on their feet after a fall.
    • On a rota-basis you’ll be on call for our falls recovery service, answering calls and helping customers across Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and Amber Valley. You’ll be paid an additional £25 a day for every day on call and £30 for any call outs you attend. We’ll also pay for your travel expenses too.

    What we’re looking for

    • Someone who has experience of delivering support in people’s homes, this is desirable not essential.
    • Knowledge of local services available for older people.
    • Good ICT skills.
    • Someone who is genuine, honest and empathetic.
    • Someone who can work on their own and use their own initiative.
    • Someone with a full UK driving licence.
    • Enhanced DBS check.
