We work with people across North Staffordshire who are at risk of losing their homes or facing anti-social behaviour issues, and we do it with no judgement.
Whether you’re struggling to keep on top of things, feeling anxious about eviction, or just unsure what support is out there, our friendly support workers are ready to listen and support you.
How we help
We work alongside you to understand what’s going on and help you stay in your home safely. Our support is here to stop things from getting worse, prevent eviction, improve relationships with your neighbours, and take the stress out of dealing with housing problems. You don’t need to face this alone. You can ask for support yourself, or your landlord, support worker, or a family member can contact us on your behalf.
Real story: helping Jeff find a new, safe home
Jeff is 65 and lives in North Staffordshire. He’d rented the same flat for 12 years with no problems. So, when his landlord told him to leave, he was shocked, scared, and didn’t know what to do.
Jeff isn’t confident using the internet and felt confused about how to apply for council housing. On top of that, he was anxious and overwhelmed.
Thankfully, Jeff was referred to us, and over just seven weeks, we visited him at home to talk things through, helped him complete housing forms, contacted housing associations on his behalf, ensured his documents were sent to the right place, and stayed in touch with the council to support his housing application.
