Befriending Service

Feel your best with someone to help make an empty house feel more like home.

Our befriending volunteers can bring a little life back into your home and help you feel part of the community.

Getting Connected

Our Getting Connected project links people aged 55+ to a Community Connector volunteer. They’ll help you find suitable social and activity groups near you and take away the worry of going on your own. They could also help you get digitally connected, by showing you how to connect to people through social media, WhatsApp and Facebook groups.

Wellbeing Support

Our Wellbeing Support Volunteers can help you settle back into your home after leaving hospital. They could also help in other ways, such as connecting you to local social and activity groups and helping you build your confidence.

Find out about how volunteering to be a telephone befriender can make a real difference to vulnerable people in our community, as well as the benefit it can have for you.

Before I was in the house all day and not doing much, it got a bit depressing. But now I’ve got people coming to see me, it makes it much better. I look forward to the company. We have a chat and a giggle.
