Revival is inviting volunteers to join our Helping Hands Service, a practical and meaningful way to support people in our local community to continue living independently in their own homes.
Many of the people we support are happy and capable in their day-to-day lives but can no longer manage certain household tasks on their own. Jobs that once felt simple can quickly become frustrating or even unsafe, which is where Helping Hands can make a real difference.
We’re looking for volunteers who can help with small DIY and home maintenance tasks in local homes. This could involve fixing a leaky tap, installing a curtain rail or blind, replacing a light fitting, assembling small items of furniture, or carrying out other minor household repairs.
While these tasks may seem small, they can have a huge impact, improving comfort, safety, and peace of mind for someone who would otherwise struggle to get them done.
We welcome tradespeople, retired professionals, and anyone with good DIY skills who is looking to give something back. There’s no need to commit to set hours; any time you’re able to offer is appreciated, and every job completed helps someone stay independent for longer.
